Xiaomi Civi 2 Design, specs officially revealed

The Xiaomi Civi 2 entry design and entry camera specifications have been revealed by the company ahead of the upcoming smartphone launch. It will be launched on September 27, 2022 in China. Last year, Xiaomi introduced the Xiaomi CIVI as a series of smartphones aimed at women.

From the official poster, it can be seen that the Civi 2 continues to focus on the thin and light body, as well as the fashionable design, the back is confirmed double curvature, no surprise the screen is also double curvature centered perforated screen.

The Civi 2 could sport a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with Full HD resolution. It’s said to sport a micro-curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision support and narrow bezels. The phone has already been spotted on the China 3C database with the model number 2209129SC.

The Civi 2 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC. Expect it to come equipped with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The Xiaomi Civi 2 charging adapter was reportedly spotted with the model number MDY-12-EF and the 67W charging stand. The handset is also said to feature “special” Vlog modes for rear camera setup.

The company has confirmed that it has a 32-megapixel main camera with autofocus and a 32-megapixel ultra-wide lens. The front cameras are coupled with two LED flashes. This year, Xiaomi also collaborated with Hello Kitty as a fashion partner, Xiaomi collided with a lot of inspiration, such as a white skirt and cute big eyes bringing an interesting collision of technology and cuteness. The official Xiaomi Civi 2 renders show that the deco rear camera has the style of the Xiaomi 12 series while adding two cameras in a large circle, to create cute big Hello Kitty eyes.

For added security, the device is equipped with a fingerprint reader under the screen. The bottom edge of the CIVI 2 features a SIM card slot, microphone, USB Type-C port, and speaker grille. Its opposite side has a microphone, Dolby Atmos branding and an IR blaster. The handset has a slim profile of 7.23mm and weighs 171.8 grams.

Reliable tipster Kacper Skrzypek has claimed that the Xiaomi CIVI 2 may be released in the global market. However, it is likely to arrive with a different marketing name. Hopefully the rumor mill will spill out more information about its worldwide release in the coming weeks.
