Vons, an Albertson-owned supermarket chain with stores in California and Nevada, accepts SNAP EBT in all stores. You can use your EBT to purchase most groceries at all Vans stores and for DriveUp & Go delivery or pickup orders at many stores. Ready-to-eat hot foods and foods intended for in-store consumption are not eligible in Nevada.

If you shop in store, swipe your SNAP EBT card through the card reader to purchase your SNAP eligible items. You will need to log into your Vons account or create one for online purchases.
Purchase the items you need, then enter your SNAP EBT card information in the payments section of the checkout screen. Click “Apply payment”. Choose the benefit amount you want to use and add a second payment type for non-SNAP eligible items and fees. Ordering online using your EBT card can be done from a desktop or mobile website.

If you’re a California resident, you may be able to purchase ready-to-eat meals at a Vons deli counter if you qualify for the CalFresh Restaurant Meals program, says Frugal Reality. To be eligible for the RMP, you must be elderly, disabled, homeless, or be the spouse of a SNAP client eligible for the RMP. Nevada does not participate in the RMP.
Recipients of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families cannot use their EBT card at Vons to buy ready-to-eat hot meals, pay for gas or buy medicine. However, you can withdraw cash from Quest ATMs that dispense $1, $5, $50, or $100 and use it to make your purchase, reports Frugal Reality.
Be sure to bring an alternate payment method for purchases that are not eligible for SNAP.
